Congratulations on your bike! That feeling of belonging to the "club" is one of the greatest part of being a biker (regardless what you ride). I wave at every bike I see and most of them wave back. If you don't park in legal parking spots, that's just asking someone to mess with your bike if you ask me. I always take up a whole parking spot so the bike doesn't get hit by someone's car door. We have just as much right to a parking spot as they do. I just lock my steering and don't worry about the bike being stolen. It's not that light. If you can pick yours up and throw it in a pickup, you're a lot stronger than I am. Could someone hotwire it? Sure, but this kind of a bike is not a hot item for thieves anyway. I don't worry much, I just ride and enjoy.
